don't think they can implement in dribs and drabs, for instance, you aren't gonna take 10 d2d next week without having the 1 in 4 saturdays off sorted first, or you shouldn't anyway, don;t know but it should all start together :)

cant be all together wouldnt of thought,, delivery offices will have no structure of jobs until mail centres have there structure complete ,,eg.. start times due to sequences machine orders ..think your on the right line though d2ds will be sorted first ,, cant wait

oh yes management will make up any excuses to implement the worst part of the deal, its always been the same, the single envelope thing won't be in place anytiem soon, so we will most probably getting 10 and sort them in every day, going to be a nightmare.

I will be using the "part of the workload" bit to claim docket if it forces me to go over

A single envelope for d2d will never happen, the companies sending d2d wouldn't want there d2d lumped together with other companies d2d and being in a single envelope the person receiving them would just bin the envelope without even looking at any.

Think about - 1 or 2 lots of D2D's to throw in every day, which means the walk sequencing machines will need to be up and running to give us a little bit more indoor time to sort those out. Plus, the working day will need to be standardised to allow for the 100% call rate every day.

July is wayyy too soon for full implementation, what about van sharing, revised duties etc etc, they can't even organise a holiday rota and 1 in six saturdays off, so how the heck do you expect them to organise something as complex as this ?

Just telling you what my lino told me, although obviously I'd prefer it if park & loop never reared its ugly head. Anyway, it's bound to come in at different times for different offices - I believe our office was gearing up for a full P&L trial anyway, which is why we are so far along

They won't organise it though pegman they never do.
They will just throw it at you and see how if it stcks and then patch it up as it goes along.
It's the Royal Mail way....it always has been and i see no change coming.

Thats exactly what I've been saying if it suits them it will be implemented in double quick time, the first being longer Saturdays (thank god its my weekend off this week), I've tried to have a bet with our DOM that we won't get any saturdays off he declined my offer saying something along the lines off we will only if it is operationally possible so make of that what you will, good thing about this week though is managment were really good to us and let us get used to doing 6 lots of D2Ds albeit 3 of them were election crap

well im on a 24hr contract but i have my own duty, my set hours are:
mon 9-1pm 4 hrs
tue 9-1pm 4 hrs
wed 9-1pm 4 hrs
thu9-1pm 4 hrs
fri 7-1pm 6 hrs
sat 7-1pm 6 hrs

can they change my hours as they please? i mean can they drop me to a 4 day week and doing just 6 hrs outdoor work?

Well as a car user, I asked when parts of the deal were going to be implemented. And was told not until 2011 when we get our vans. When are we getting our pay rise? Dunno. When does the delivery supplement start? Dunno. Seems the management don't know a lot unless they are benefiting from it.
