God after reading all the posts on here for the last few weeks and in partiuclar yesterday i fully expected to wake up and experience doomsday.

Instead I woke up to the hottest day of the year so far. The lump sum will be paid next weeks along with the pay rise and backdated pay rise and that the challenges on how to improve my members terms and conditons start including better earnings , better attendances and involvement.

Give the agreement time and I think a lot of you will accept that the agreement is not as bad as some of you have painted it.

So unless the world end in a few minutes then I am off to a meeting to move issues forward.

A pay cut in essence, unlimited delivery spans........oh and nearly forgot about my later finishing time on a Saturday.

It's maybe not the end of the world but it is the end of a half decent job. And it is without doubt the end of a half decent service for customers up and down the country.

Like most things, there's good bits and bad bits and bits with potential both positive and negative. Bit like 2007 really only far more potent, and lets be honest the unions national track record on making that agreement work for the membership crashed and burned. Lets not blame the weak members for that failure because as a leadership you designed the agreement and at some point you must accept the responsibility for how it played out. Now, if only the CWU can put as much energy and effort into making this agreement work for it's members as it has put into getting the desired ballot result then we might stem the flood of resignations.

Oh, and im LOSING 15 QUID A WEEK TOO from whenever it comes in, and we lose a quarter of the 400 in tax , and a quarter of the 1000 in tax too, and my pay will be the same after 3 years as it is today, brilliant deal.

I doubt there will even be a picket line now.

Members who voted yes for this pathetic agreement probably didn't strike anyways.

Members who voted no for this pathetic agreement will be very few and far between to support strike action ever again. Look where it has got us. Congrats Royal Mail you have a workforce who will not support any more strike action.

Non CWU members probably didn't strike anyway.
