Thinking about it, on the one hand I should be in it with all this change coming and my refusal to go over when the changes are made.

On the other, they are in bed with RM now so whats the point of the union?

I'm not leaving because I think I'll need them more than ever (my big mouth does tend to get me into trouble) and I feel that I should support my rep because they have always been there for me. Everyone really needs to take a few days to think this over and not just jump to a hasty decision.

its not that people want to leave the union we have guys that have been with them 30 years.

its the way youve been sold out so badly that is making then strike down on the cwu to show they wont accept that.

Is RM really so bad that u need big dave to come to the rescue?

chill work to time and youll be fine.

whats imbetween is just posting letters after all!

YES to teach CWU HQ a lesson. It's the ONLY thing that they will listen to. Will still fully support local rep and help fellow workers stand up for their (now fewer) rights.

Can you leave and the re-join? At a later date, when I get my hours increased to 39, just to make up the full-time/part-time split!

I don't want to leave the CWU. What i do want is a leadership who will lead and not bow down to RM. Big Dave sounded like a manager on the DVD. How many of the negotiation team work on Saturdays or deliver D2D's?
Senior reps are in a comfort zone and have lost touch with the grass root membership.

Yep, call HR the number is on back of payslip, it will take 2min to cancel 'CWU subsrciption'. To rejoin get a form from your office rep fill it in and hand it back to him.

Something written down on paper is alot different to how things actually happen in the sorting office. So I will wait and see if D2D actually get integrated to workload properly before i make my mind up to leave CWU.
