We expect an emotional response to today’s result on the forum, because it is a forum and that is ok.

The calls for coming out of the union are also a knee jerk reaction. Some offices have not had a good deal because the previous agreements were not honoured. If anyone cannot see that then they had better wake up!

Those offices that are active have already planned their call rates, spans, longer Saturdays already. Good.

However take a minute to realise that there are a lot of offices who have been taken advantage of. Part timers who are, in the main, not really part timers. Check their aggregates on the e-docket.9 times out of ten you will see their overtime equals 40 hours.

We need to help those offices, HQ need to demonstrate its effort on this deal. The yes vote is not enough.HQ need to be here for the long haul. Start to finish.

I do realise that areas have branches. I am not sure if members realise this.

Area reps and divisional reps DO exist. It is up to HQ to “shake some attitudes” out there.

A lot of effort was put into the road shows. It does not stop there. There is so much more to do. In fact the road shows were the easy part.

Full involvement will expose the rogue element. Remember. Start to Finish.

Also do not think that “stopping your subs” will gain anything. This deal will not work if the collective effort is weaker.

The Union is part of RM now, its in the freakin agreement.

RM subsidises it own Union. You couldnt make it up.

THAT mon amigo, is what makes the Union weak, NOT the members.

And knowing that the CWU is firmly in the pocket of RM, a RM manager says, "I'm here to make it work best for RM, you and your petty concerns don't come into it," What then, eh?

The perfect example is what I saw in Tesco at 10.55 am today

A CWU mbr who voted no wanderring around Tesco finished for the day, starts at 5am, must have left the D.O at 10.50 am.

Add on the break he hasnt had and thats 6hours 30 mins day, so around two hours J and F made if not more!!!
