I'm making a nice little butty with the Election leaflets at the moment, but the next General Election in 4 years time all the leaflets will be treated as the DTD. We won't get a tap for delivering them. The RM gets the lot.... Thanks to all the idiots that voted yes. are you still going to come in early now and give them back your £400 as soon as possible...

No doubt we will be bombarded with scare stories but no the election agreement remains. Yes Royal Mail do want to re negotiate it due to the fact that downstream access did not exist when the election agreement was orginally agreed.

However Royal Mail wanted it to be inclcuded into workload and offered a £1 per week in the ornginal talks. The union rejected this but quite how Royal Mail can introduce it into workload an event which comes around every few years I dont know. My guess is that they would have to pay overtime.

My understanding is that the areas which flagged up the issue with Polling cards and DSA have been resolved certainly the offices I dealt with have now. May be you need to get onto the area rep.

You took the words right out of my mouth there dvb, and Dingo i got on to my Branch sent them the Agreement ( as they never had a copy too hand apparently ) they sent me an email to say they had passed it onto division, who have got onto HQ.
That was 2 weeks ago and branch emailed me again yesterday and said they were still waiting for a reply GO FIGURE............!

And his reply to that will be the same old same old! strong areas weak areas bulls^it. And when i or anyone else get onto my Rep/Area Rep/Branch/Div Rep and still no joy as happens now, will it be my or my colleges fault we get shafted or HQ's.

As folks have written I have been on this case for 2 weeks now area rep told about it 3 times head office told about it twice.

We are still being shafted over payments or not being paid in this case for poll cards

Unless we down tools which won't happen in my office, I cannot see anything being positive for the future, if the debacle is this bad on just being paid for poll cards
