I've been doing the 'sod ya. No more favours' lark for years now. Sure, I miss the money, but I manage and go without stuff.
It's a silly situation. We should feel encouraged to do more work to boost our pay, but when you get no thanks it makes it harder to feel motivated to do more than is needed.

Well they've certainly made it impossible for me to go over my time so thats deffo out the window, and I wont be killing myself out there on the streets to get it done either.

As for working my day off, I'm not sure about that yet, will wait to see what the new duty entails before I decide on that.

Fair point. However I personally believe that is the CWU that has screwed you over and not Royal Mail. Not doing a few hours overtime to benefit your pay will not make one bit of the difference to the CWU.

if mail doesnt go out (fines) clear office policy , its the only job ive done where you dont get time and a half and double time for overtime and after 10 hours you go on less than your basic hourly wage ,and no meal break , but you get paid for it ?

some of our DO staff go to the local mail centre and do collections.................can't see how they are going to do that!
