I've underlined the obvious flaw in this plan. If they want them delivered Saturday morning, we'll need to start delivering on Friday night. 3.00pm on a Saturday afternoon is not the morning, erm..... except for those bigwigs at RM/CWU HQ'S.

Its not a question are jobs will be create and worth saving. Does RM (our employees) have the same plans. My thoughts are rm were going to introduce this anyway with a whole lot of jobs getting the chop.

There will be 4 of you in a group, 1 of the group has the Saturday off and the other 3 do a third of the round ( as well as your own round) of the postie who has the Saturday off!! Oh and not forgetting all your D2D!

What if your hols fall on your sat off, can't see the coverman getting the sat off, can't see a coverman agreeing to do extra work either on holiday or sickness cover, this is all absolute rubbish

Just team up with a friend who support the opposition team so for example Aston Villa and Wolves. if week you are on saturday off and Wolves playing home and Villa playing away just swap. Then likewise if other way round. It will increase your chance. But it won't work if you both working on same day and both playing at home (in that case you might need to swap with West Bromwich Albion fan if necessary)

D'you know something H, I had a bad experience some years ago with another union, but this one takes the biscuit:

In this economic climate, the company has no money, we have got to be realistic, there will be winners and losers, you have to look at the big picture, we want everyone to perform to the top 10%, there will be no excuse for not implementing the agreement, it is a question of trust, the continuity of service is of paramount importance, there is to be a new financial footing between RM and the CWU, the MTSF is to be changed, the union is to be reorganised

you can hardly credit that these people are being paid to look after our interests
