asked to vote for cwu postal executives!!!

Post by viking »

WHAT A CHEEK!. Cant believe it, received in the post today a letter to say we would be asked soon to vote for the postal executives. I hope on the ballot papers they tell us what they intend to do to help us as in my opinion they have already shown us what side they are on...and it certainly isnt the delivery staff at RM. I WONT BE VOTING FOR ANY OF THEM !!! The only consolation for receiving the letter was the fact that the stamp on the envelope had not been franked and shall spend the next hour or so peeling it off as i intend to get at least SOMETHING out of this!! Certainly worth three quid of anybodys subscriptions..NOT . :dance :dance :dance

Not voting for any of them is daft!!

Some are of those standing for election are current PEC members who did not support the agreement and some are not currently on the PEC and come from branches which recommend a no vote to their mbrs.

This is your chance to make sure

A) Those PEC mbrs who do not think 2010 and beyond is a good enough deal REMAIN on the PEC
B) Canididates who are opposed to 2010 and beyond who not currently on the PEC get elected

Hold on a minute Big Daz wasn't this current new 2010 and Beyond Agreement unanimously endorsed by the PEC?

I thought it was overwhelming not unanimous. 12-3.

You can't believe the blurb that gets sent out. There is no real way of identifying decent PEC members, even if such a thing exists.

We must boycott this PEC election.

If nobody votes for the PEC, they won't have a mandate. The CWU will have to rerun the ballot and allow any candidate to stand who wants to, not just those nominated by the branches.

Have just received this load of b0llox, have read thru the candidates election addresses, and the only one who sounds like he wants to challenge the CWU cartel is Steve Hiscox. So my one and only vote will go to him, the rest can fcuk off.

Looked through their election addresses and saw only 2 who i considered worthy of my vote and 1 who i thought was maybe worth a punt.

3 X's on ballot paper sent in, the rest waste of time self interests only.

Got my erection blurb today, and reading the lines You would have to say the Mcleans look like good old company men ,so looks like the grapevine info was duff. I can only identify one standing PEC member who opposed this deal and that is Keenlyside ,guess the other two got pressured out?
Me I'll vote for Keenlyside and Hiscox and no one else to make my vote most effective.
I might add H. Davies if he can give more info. cos they can all say they oppose a staff association ,but where do you stand on this deal Huw
