Hi don't know if this is the right forum for this but...
so i sent sat guaranteed special out Fri, not turned up for the sat, the guy gets upset, showed him my receipt and sees that i am not lying
saw on here about them not guaranteeing specials cause of the Volcano!
it's going to Glasgow from Yorkshire ?
i phone up customer care, guess what she says "there on strike!" so we are not guaranteeing it, well let her go on about it, then got her to repeat they are on strike, casually informed her i work for RM and as far as i know no one is on strike [at least not yet!] then says "oh i shouldn't have said that it's a backlog cause of the volcano!"
put a claim in as i wasn't told of this when i posted it, went into the office i sent it from to get me claim form and they still had not heard of it when i asked
it just made me laugh, wonder if it was a manager on customer care, know they blame us for everything but now they have us on strike when we aren't!

Perhaps she was a Royal Mail Customer Advisor that had been confused and thought she was absorbing a British Airways Call. Trolley Dollys are now seem as more militant than we are

They probably have a pre-printed list of excuses - 1 to 20 or whatever - and just run through them until they find one that fits.
When you hear things like this it does make you understand why people say we have a very poor record when it comes to complaints.
How ever hard you try in the field those behind lines can undo all your good work.
