IT'S NOT A YES VOTE,IS IT??

Post by nationwide »

Some of the posts that are appearing on this site at the moment,(and I have posted replies on some) are worded as if the deal has already gone through.
Is this not still being voted on and is there alot of you posties that think the deal like me(a non union member) is no good as we will be losing money along with alot more??
It does seem like alot of you out there are taking it as read that this is a done deal however rubbish it may be.
PLEASE VOTE NO.(If you haven't already)

If you wanted to influence the outcome of this vote then you should have joined the union and got a vote - along with all the other people who pay for the priveledge.

If you decided to make an economy by not paying subs to the union - then shut up
If you decided to let someone else get the blame for the final verdict - then shut up
If you feel you have a grievance and need union help without paying for it - then shut up

In fact - just shut up and let the ones who have the responsibility of making decisions get on with it

Good luck with that Haynes - thanks for taking time out to help us postmen - by the way, if you find that you "really couldn't give a crap" about your pending career prospects in a years time, then feel free to come back to us and start at the bottom all over again - it's where people who really couldn't give a crap deserve to be.

Looking for another job is just what I am doing and I do agree with you that we have just as much right to be in this present job than the next person, union or non union member. This is our live as well you know!!
When I go to the union rep in my office with a problem the first words he says are "let me see if I can help you"not "I'm not helping you as you are not a union member.
This is also a forum where we can air our fews that admittadly not everyone is going to agree with.

If your not a Member WTF are you going too the Rep for anyway, You have made a choice to not join so be true to your convictions and get on with it yourself.
The union owes Non members Nothing and it's about time you realised that, And just to let you Know Im P/T and a union member and i get treated just the same as any F/T Postman /woman !.
People like you are just Leaches who want Union help but don't want to pay thier way and i personally have no time for you or others of your ilk.

Don't you see how cheeky you come across because you don't want to pay for representation, but expect a union rep to sort your problems out.
Stop leaching off members!

No one is saying you don't have the right to be in the job, you don't have the right for union representation.

Us non union members work there like everyone else and if ever I have had a problem and spoke about it to people at work, one of the first things they would advice me to do is to go and see the union rep regardless of membership.
Like I said previously though I have never and will never become a member of a union, that issue was never foced onto me when I started here.
This has also meant that I couldn't go out on strike as much as I may want to not being in the union.
I will keep on working for the RM until I can find other employment and using whatever resources the RM offer should I have any problems in the future.
Now just remind me what was the original post again??? :dance

It was about you as a non cwu member asking cwu members to vote no for you.
Well as has been said already, you have no right to ask for anythimg from the cwu members,Reps or HQ, but your proberbly to full of your own self- importance to realize that.
So to sum up, in this ballot your opinions are meaningless, as you are not a member and have no vote.!

Just to add. Your terms and conditions could of been worse,(and yes you have been put into your office at the expense of a full time job). That is called executive action. However we went out on strike to stop that.Hopefully there are other national agreements,(The Way Forward), in which you could apply for a full time position,(if this new deal goes through).

However there would be no national agreements at all if we were not in the union. You have just caught the s**t end of a dispute. However your area/local reps will be attending the workshops in which your duty should be sorted. This participation came about because of union membership pulling together. In order to have a voice and to make a difference you would have to join the union at some point.

You have taken the time to post on here on a Sunday,so you obviously care....

I have always been in a full time position and I understand what you are saying as in the agreement and there being a union.
Also thanks for the understanding on the caring issue and the answer is ,yes of course I do.It is my living at the moment.
