First post, so here goes....

In distribution as collection driver, review is being undertaken to remove collections and pt workforce into areas where needed more (long overdue!!)

5 jobs have been identified as being changed and they are being converted into 4 full times (Job loss by way death in service) ( Changes are to start times, finish times and duty content).

All four of us having duty changes are having a resign between us is the norm ?

From what I have read on the forum and speaking to people in the office, I believe this is the correct procedure ?

Problem I have is what if I dont want the job that is left ? Do I have to take it and like it or do I become a reserve or worse....

Yep you have got it right.

Basically the person with the most seniority (as long as you all hold he skills needed to do the duties) gets to pick from all 4 duties

The next one gets to pick out of the three left etc.

So if you are 4th in seniority you basically have a choice of taking the last duty left or becoming a reserve or floater.

IMHO the worst fixed duty is a lot better than being a reserve but other at my DO prefer being reserves.
