now... i dont know about u but if yosu guys got together and really used your votes and also persuaded anyone else u know within RM.

it could go along way to getting a NO vote.

You guys have got to really start working on your office and get everyones voting NO make sure they vote!

I think a NO vote could actually be the CWU's best option......

I do want further negotiations but theres is to many things to sort out..

Members wise and finniancially this is the CWU's best option.

On the other hand the CWU could turn out to be very usefull..

Almost like a sheild over our heads - they wanted to screw us over but they cant - unless u vote yes....

so effectivly the cwu has sheilded this ... so far even tho they agreed to it - there job is to continue to serve us and negotiate another deal.

How many in your office are saying vote no but are still running round like headless chickens coming in early not taking breaks defeats the object. Until people wise up we are stuffed cwu member and wont quit but feel fed up as if we vote no and go back on strike how many will work

Since the deal was 'leaked' on this site, I've been telling all the non-CWU members in my office to join the union asap.
If this deal goes through they will lose d2d payments and early shift allowance, replaced by a £20.60/wk payment. For most of them, if getting a chance to vote No to this deal costs them £3.01/week, it's going to work out far less of a drop in take-home pay than whingeing and letting this deal go through. Because as NON-MEMBERS, they can't do anything to stop it

I think its too late to tell non union people to join the union to bring in a no vote. All these threads and not a single alternative! Do you think RM are going to somehow ringfence the d2d you currently get which by the way equals £51.4 million for those of you who do it. Lets see, current coverage across the country varies so RM will just allow you to carry on without the blanket coverage they what. £92 million turned away last year by RM because they could not get the national coverage. A new product comes online and its absorbed, yet D2D which has not always been treated with such tender care as apparently now is to be allowed to continue as a patchy service. They are not going to allow this to continue. Please give an alternative and a future vision which ensures a viable service.

Actually on D2Ds there has been plenty of suggestions and the same on the Delivery Supplement (in fact Dingo made one suggestion which granted he did not like) However most of the No voters, me included are not against the deal for what's in it but rather what's been left out (institutional B&H for one).

My main concern though is not in the theoretical implications of the deal but rather the operational implications and I am afraid I cannot see anything in the deal which would address that. I understand you are in MCs so D2Ds is all theory for you as is the way Deliveries work in the day to day environment. That is not a put down so please don't take it that way, but merely an observation after all as all good soldiers know rarely does a plan survive first contact with the enemy no matter how good it is, and the same applies in RM. Good plans and theories always seem to fail when they get to the DO level.

Ill leave the mbrs to make their own choice, and just as with all previous agreements some will vote yes and some no.
