Well yes and No

The New Delivery Supplement will be paid at £20.60 and pro rata to all Delivery Office Based RML staff of a CWU Grade.

The D2D monies (Approx £50m) is being used to pay for the Supplement (along with £40m ESA).

Once the agreement is ratified we will not, any of us, be paid for D2Ds any more.

BTW I am at present a No Voter with an Open mind (though some will doubt that) and I don't think its fair but I have to do my best to make sure everyone understands the agreement - good and bad.

Do your job right and work your hours like a phg and you will both get paid for the hours that you work, is generally the underlying tone.

Well yes and No

Half the hours worked equals half the pay. Piece work leads to poor quality so they want rid.
The only part of this supplement I disagree with (unless I'm mistaken) is that it isn't paid in proportion to your hours. If a 30 hour guy does 40 hours one week due to overtime, then they should recieve £20.60 that week. Any have any info about this?

My grumble is that muggins here will have to cover d2ds the full timers have left as they can't complete their duty. Nowhere in the agreement does it say managers won't bully you to complete d2ds for a week even if you've been on it 1 day. It's live mail now so I take it I'll be getting willfull delay if I don't deliver in one day? Also, full timers with 200 doors are getting paid more than part timers with 600 doors.....

Full timers will not be getting more. If a full timer has only 200 doors, they will require less time for prep and delivery of d2d built into their duty. Part timers with 600 doors will require more time to prep and deliver which will factored into their hours. This will be tackled by having less d.p.s, less indoor work, less d2d prep etc etc..

I am worried that doing the D2D will push me over my time as they do at present, but at present at least I am compensated with about £24. But there is the possibility of me being pushed over my time even more than I am just now with the introduction of more than 3 D2D and having to claim lots of overtime per week. For me it's a struggle and a hassle to get overtime paid.

There are some real gray areas with this deal.

No info but I agree with your suggestion - if part timers are working up to almost full time due to filling vacant duties and other office shortages then the delivery supplement should be recalculated on a regular basis and paid accordingley. I have commented in several other posts recently that a part timer SHOULD be paid pro rata and this is only fair if it goes up in line with the hours they work, i.e. to reflect the time they put in.

is this in the same way that the 22.5 hour and 30 hour part timers in our office will 'have our duties prepped for us coming in'. Yet to happen in my DO. What I see happening is some posties will come off the primary to prep these d2ds for the part timers but the few rogues will be on their frames instead, just like is happening now.

That depends on your hours, Im 30 hours and there are another eight 30 hour PT in my D.O along with just one 20 hour PT and one 32 hour PT

Its £15.45 for me.
