Does M3 make that much difference then? Later starts mean later finish time, so if you start a hour later on saturdays than you do now then you will finish a hour later than you do now and thats before any extra work has been aded to create a longer day.

I reckon M3 would add on no more than 15 mins to my current duty, delivery points that have M3 only are a very small minority of my daily stops. Would be longer for duties with IPS having to sort A4 M3.

I don't want 1 in 4 saturdays off if the rest of my saturdays are ruined.
1 in 4 saturdays off means an extra 4 saturdays of a YEAR and that is your prize for potentially working until 3pm for the rest.
Talk of 4 day weeks is premature,in order to work a 10 hr day and finish at 3pm you will have to start at 0500.
Will there be enough work in your D.O at that time especially when WSM kicks in to justify the majority of your office starting at 0500?
To say all members can have 1 in 3 saturdays off if you really want is at best optimistic and at worse deceitful.

You're kidding, right?
No postman/woman should be finishing at 3.00pm on a Saturday afternoon, ever.
1 in 3, 1 in 4, still means that posties will suddenly be faced with having more shyte Saturdays than good ones.
RM, and the CWU, can shove their templates where the sun don't shine.

I did nearly 2 hours last week of forced overtime. I will not be voting yes because the bullying and harassment has not yet been addressed.
We have still not had any independent body to agree that RM's plans are feasible, necessary and the best option.

As regards to the other stuff, I don't believe we have to do an unlimited number of D2D for free to make money. If that were the case, we'd have stopped doing them long ago.
And as for Saturdays, they don't really bother me. I can understand RM wanting longer Saturdays because the volume of mail has more than doubled since TNT etc got their paws in.
I don't want later starts at all, each hour later that I finish it costs me £6 in child care. When I first started I was on 6am-11am, now I don't finish until 2:45pm! That is a £93 per week pay cut ... after tax.

I'd rather vote no and destroy the business (not that I think it would come to that). It's not a good attitude to have but the only other option is to let RM do what they want and they will destroy the business.

Problem is at the moment the Royal Mail are suggesting you could do any number of door to doors and not get paid for some/ all of them. If you went down that road the posties could lose anything up to £30 - 40 a week or £1500 - £2000 a year. Only way I'll support that is if EVERY single item of mail in the office is addressed. If the management went down the route of not handling unaddressed mail they could take as much addressed mail as possible and give everyone a pay rise not to mention make the postman's day a lot easier.
