YES IT MIGHT SAVE SOME FT JOBS BUT ONLY FOR A WHILE. LONGTERM EFFICENCY SAVINGS BASED ON AUTOMATION AND IMPOSING UNREALISTIIC WORKLOADS AND DUTIES WILL BREAK MANY HARD WORKING POSTIES.
WE HAVE TO STAND TOGETHER AND YES UNION CAN TRY TO SELL IT AS THE ONLY AND LAST OPTION, BUT REMEMBER UNION SHOULD BE ACTING AND MUST ACTING IN FAVOUR OF ITS MEMBERS - SO DONT PULL OUT FROM UNION BEFORE VOTING AS U ACTUALLY VOTING YES OR GIVE UP BEFORE BATTLE FOR YOUR FUTURE BEGIN

ALMOST EVERY POSTIE WHO IS DOING ITS HARD JOB PROPERLY EVERY DAY IS GONNA LOOSE ON THAT DEAL.

THEY CAN NOT POSSIBLY EXPECT PEOPLE TO VOTE WITHOUT DETAILS WHICH ARE LACKING FROM THIS WORDY AND VAGUE 80 PAGES PLUS DOCUMENT.

AFTER WE BACKED UNION LAST YEAR AND LOST WAGES FOR THAT SUPPORT.

AFTER 4 MONTHS OF HARD (laughable) NEGOTIATIONS UNION COME UP WITH SELF DESTRUCTING DEAL WHICH OFFER US MORE WORK FOR LESS MONEY AND MORE FAMILY FRIENDLY APPROACH WITH LONGER SATURDAYS.

just wanted the message to be clear and visible
And secondly, i didnt say less hours. Hours most likely stay the same just more D2D incorporate into them. Can see this possible on PT contract?!

How can you get more work unless you have the capacity to take more work? Do your job right, problem solved.
As for the D2D issue, I personally will be about the same off financially if the agreement goes through. Its swings and roundabouts. A few years ago I was on a duty which paid £30 + D2D but I weighed it up against another duty which was a bit more driving and decided to pick onto it thus taking a tenner pay cut for D2D. The deal is the same, some money may be lost, but can you find other advantages to make up for it? I can, maybe, just about. It is the trust issue that is the biggest thing to deal with for me but you can't vote against a deal due to lack of trust otherwise there can never be a deal.

There IS no plan B either, only the destruction of the CWU and thousands of full time jobs with it. Cue "Well I least I stood up for what I believe in" or "I suppose you expect us to roll over" or even "WE are the union" - the funniest one of all. Get real and look at the bigger picture, not your own single wage packet.

The Interim Agreement does state that vacancies should go with the Way Forward agreement,(in which will still hold the field in terms of vacancies AFTER the new agreement may come in).

Find out the vacancies from the rep.Find out how long it's been vacant. If it is over 6 months then it should go up,and ALL can sign for it via seniority,full time or part time. The post you leave will then be picked up for six months by the senior reserve.Then that duty goes up,and so forth......

The head of industrial relations has already written to the union stating that

"When building revisions managers will work with their unit representative in line with
our agreed process. Local duty sets and numbers of jobs will emerge from the
application of our agreement and not predetermined by office budgets".

Well said Night Tonic. That's twice in the last week i've agreed with your comments. These people that keep ramming this "Vote No" down everyones throat is wearing a bit thin now. It's a democratic vote and the people will decide......END OF.
