Cutting off/Agreement

Can someone tell me if its true that in the new agreement you can't cut off? or is this just a wind up. If true then what happens if your over your time?

It's a wind up,normal cutting off procedures still apply.

Exactly. We had a dreadful day today. Seven boxes full of letters, three of flats, then the rest of the stuff. DOM announces at last minute the 30min rule.
I cut off and finished still at 3.30pm.. Meal relief of 50mins less 20 what i'd took. === long day.
If i took it all. I'd of been back at the office around 5PM

Variation of hours – Where necessary, for example when traffic volumes are unexpectedly high or resourcing issues arise, individuals may be asked and may themselves request to vary their duty times by up to 30 minutes on a swings and roundabouts basis. Again, individual circumstances will be taken into account and total weekly contractual hours would not change.

It doesn't actually state that it's voluntary just that individuals may be asked and individual circumstances will be taken into account.
That is where the CWU failure was Daz and that is what has enabled DOMs to abuse it.

We had this after 07,i know i saw some doc where it was voluntary,but for the life of me i could never find it.

Needless to say,if my DOM wanted me to flex,i just say no,job done.

As it stands now, as i believe, you have a 3.5 hour delivery span only. If you go over your time you can cut off. If the new agreement goes through , you can have , in theory a six hour delivery span , BUT you only have to work your eight hours , so you can still cut off if you cant complete.

You may be confusing it with your local flexibility plan.

The 30 minutes flex is only in one week and is to given back in that week and is totally voluntary. You could possibly ask your DOM where it is written that it is compulsary?

I have gone about as high as you can go with this one including local I/A drb and i can assure you it is not voluntary only individual circumstances will be taken into account .
