Tuesdays are 'light' days; correct?
In my office a few weeks ago they cut Tuesday to a seven hour day and increased Wednesday to a nine hour day. This apparently stops overtime being claimed.
The only way this can work is if on a Tuesday you can get out at 8:30.
In addition ; you cannot get in the office until 6am (I agree with this as it stops the very early starters.)
Todays scenario: Start on time. IPS until 7:30. Prep round and all that good stuff. Out at 9:40. Start delivery at 9:55 (bit of a cycle involved)
Finish at normal time.
Ipso facto? Claim 1 hour overtime
Now ; where is the saving? Or am I missing something.
BTW: I only missed about 14 doors today.

Always a dodgy day to compare after B/H mate, your DOM should have left the change a week till we are back to 6 days del, makes no
sense as in the past the Wed after the B/H has been the quieter day, expect the plan will work better next Tuesday![]()

Re: Tuesdays
May be wrong but they can only do that kind of thing by upto half hour and this is for indoor workload you are meant to have 3.5 hours out no more no less monday till friday and if you finish early you go back and sort till your finish time you need to talk to your Rep or Area Rep as soon as.

Understand your comments; but it has been in place a few weeks. The scenario is the same every Tuesday.Steviea34 wrote:hampshireman wrote:Tuesdays are 'light' days; correct?

I think my main point is that if you cut a day by an hour ; and the delivery is the same; then how can you complete an hour earlier that normal?
I have raised this with the DOM... but you can finish an hour early. What's the problem?
I asked if they were going to take houses off my round on a Tuesday. Silence

Re: Tuesdays
They always say flex stuff but you need Union advice from a Rep because this does not seem right and they may be taking the piss.hampshireman wrote:Flexibility was the answer when I asked.LJR wrote:May be wrong but they can only do that kind of thing by upto half hour and this is for indoor workload you are meant to have 3.5 hours out no more no less monday till friday and if you finish early you go back and sort till your finish time you need to talk to your Rep or Area Rep as soon as.

Re: Tuesdays
Question is do you still only do a 3.5 hour duty each day with .5 for travel? With less on Saturday? If not you are doing your selves over and RM are loving it because they have increased the outdoor element without you guys noticing it.iamnotadoormat wrote:long and shorts...

Re: Tuesdays
I also thought they could only add or subtract 30mins from your 8 hour day.

i would put communication ...everything you raise as a problem...in writing.
why - because they will have your card marked and you will be targeted for wilfull delay or something...taken down the conduct code and sacked...and guess what...nothing you can do about it except claim they are "trumped up charges" ...meanwhile you're out the door and another "trouble maker" is silenced.
while CWU HQ can do nothing, as long as RM follow that process.
it's been happening all over the country for many months...this forum is full of people in that situation - as i say - nothing nationally getting done about it.
