Could anyone help?
I have just taken up the local CWU rep position as no one else would do it, I wanted to know what is happening as we get told nothing.
The problem I have noticed is that the last 2 meetings have been on my days off (bad luck I no but when only pt this is likely to happen alot)
I went to the last meeting but this time I dont no if I am going because I have more important things to do on my days off.
Do reps get paid overtime or a day in leiu when this sitsuation arises?
Do reps have to attend these meetings?
Any advice is greatful.

Re: Rep Meetings
Full release is normally given to the local office rep by management to attend branch meetings,so yes you should either be given a day back on your leave or paid overtime to attend these meetings.
Yes as the local office rep you should make every effort to attend these meetings or send a sub so that you can pass on infomation from the branch to the membership.
And well done and good luck for taking up the postion.
