It was a normal day for us north of the border and a busy one at that.
Even had saturday gauranteed specials on a friday.

i agree a complete waste of a day......we have collection staff in today and they say tomorrow is gonna be bad!!!!! thats the weekend ruined by RM again....plus we will probably miss the big match!!!!! i bet the management will be home in time for their breakfast.

Funny enough we talked about this yesterday thinking it would be better to work good friday and take the sat off with the family. At least we then get a 3 day break.

Well there was certainly lots of scratching of heads etc.
Nobody could really come up with a definitive answer as to what should be done with them.
On one hand they are gauranteed 24hr delivery and due today and on the other hand they are day specific and due on saturday.

If I paid to have something delivered on a saturday when I'm in, and it was attempted delivery on a fri when I was out, I'd be most angry.

Maybe because for many people Easter Saturday is "a normal day to work" too, and they expect post?

I would suggest Tman that anyone working as normal on Easter Saturday would most likely be doing so on the Good Friday as well, so whats the diffrence?

I think RM should give the option of working r not, like they used, think the options were double time, time and a third with a day in lieu , or the day off, most people in my office would have rather worked today instead they are going to have their weekend screwed by doing doing double mail and packets tomorrow. The people i bumped into today from the businesses i normally deliver to couldn't see the logic in giving today off and making us work tomorrow.

The difference is there's lots of businesses, shops and services etc shut on Good Friday (it being both a Bank Holiday and a religious day) who will be open again for business on Easter Saturday.
So it's a big difference
