I have genuine concern for my future health with this company they see no end to what they want to burden us.

If the packets are 5kg then it isn't going to be a delivery postman carrying them.
As I understand it,it's sports stuff like tracksuits which are bulky. So it's more work for drivers.

its up to 5kg so could be any weight or size.
so if it fits in the bag then boys on foot will end up taking them no chance of being extra driving duties being created. they are inundated with tracked items now.

Who will be CDV and so the increase comes back down to deliveries - now is this going to be included in the revision tools, how about the tracked items? Has any time been added to the the walks - well nope - there is time added to the delivery it is now 4.15 - however, there are two 3.5 hr deliveries. added to that the bulk elements formerly carried out by bulk drivers, then the tracked items, then the large packets for the two deliveries and in some cases packets from additional walks not included as part of the CDV, the loading of the vehicle with the deliverys, specials, tracked and packets.

There has been very little thought been put into the workloads - all delivery offices should take the opportunity under the unsequenced revision to make sure that the necessary resources are available - however........................ we've seen RMs take on the resourcing and who is responsible for it.

Precisely! The CDV delivery is going to become overloaded with packets and parcels to such an extent that it will be impossible to do an actual foot delivery in pairs and we will end up going back to having packet van deliveries - ever upward, ever onward.

It makes you wonder if RM have any idea how to run a diverse delivery service - it sure don't look like it.

I don't think anyone believes Higson and Toolhurst et al have a fecking clue how to run RM.
It would probably be difficult enough in an ideal situation but with the pension liability and the DSA fiasco to contend with it must be a virtual impossibility.
Let's hope Crozier's replacement is more clued up.
Is RM too big to fail? Will they bail us out if/when it all goes tits up?

We've been told that the unsequenced revision is to lapse 3 duties and not to fix any duties, all they want to do is cut cut cut and the union is just letting them
