Wasting your time, mate. As this is a bank holiday, I suspect those that are inexplicably voting for their own demise, will have packed their buckets and spades, and are probably half-way to laa-laa land as I speak.

I just cant get my head round this deal! ? Just think on this scenario if this happend last Oct/nov when we went on strike

CWU "right we are going on strike for better working conditions"

Postie " ok but what would we settle for"

CWU "well, we would like to earn less money, do more D2Ds for free AND work longer on a saturday"

Postie " but this would mean we are WORSE off than we are now, so why are we going on strike for less money and more work"?

CWU "ermmm I dunnooo"

WOULD WE OF GONE ON STRIKE IF THE ABOVE HAPPEND? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!

Happened in 2007, we were called out because RM wanted to make changes to work and conditions, after the strike RM changed our work and conditions and CWU called it a pay dispute and claimed a victory

you should come and have a swift word with the union reps in our office .apparently this is the best deal ever and british airways staff would bight our arms off for it. how sick can i feel.your whole post above just about sums it up.dont forget tho you will be working an hour less every week. as if!! bulliied into working an extra ten more like for nothin.

And I doubt if you could get a strike to hold for 7 days now let alone 7 weeks.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Do you know postman - that is the one thing he did get right - although he might be running a close call - lets see:

Undefined journey times
Less Money
More and later shifts
Loss of allowances

Oh I don't know maybe an employer would go for it at a pinch :crazy:

so long ago cant remember if it was a closed shop but few people had mortgages in those days there's no way people could stay out so long nowadays i honestly dont know what will happen when the vote is no.

I suspect those reasons may play a part however many put their personal issues aside last year and voted overwhelmingly for strike action. :hmmmm

Well you could try a re-ballot as this is the only factor that has really changed in the last 6 months.
