Hi all had a meeting today with our dom and area rep and was imformed that two men in a van has been put on hold till there is a national agreement on a call rate, manager is well p***** off now he has to save 200hrs a week, anyone else had any news on this.

We already have the 2 in a van fiasco- i dont expect shitface (DOM) or twoface (area rep)to change ours,well apart from making them longer!

i called into my office yesterday to inform the manager of my counselling sessions for stress and anxiety, he told my cdvs were off, looked liked he needs some counselling, i bet they have got something else up their sleeves, rm must have gauged the feelings of posties and will be planning a more dastardly deeds for us

PS come to think of it union rep looked a bit sheepish and as i was leaving area rep turned up,the intrigue !

I havnt been on the two in a van duties,but the staff on them have caved in and made them work enough days.Most of them are in early,take short cuts etc and by the end of the duty look like a couple of sweaty tramps with learning difficulties.

I don't drive and am looking forward to being partnered with a speed merchant - if he want's to start early to get a flyer, he will be very disappointed when he finds himself waiting for me so he can go home early - and if he doesn't work up to his time to help me finish - I'll report him. On the other hand - I might get a good guy who will cut off at the same time as me, because once the 3 oclock finish comes in there will be no more docket for the Rhino :)
