One question.
If Royal Mail is indeed on it's knees with no cash where will the money come from for all these oodles and oodles of extra hours that reps are promising will definately be put back into offices to cope with D2D into workload and the new "postman freindly" version of geo-route not forgetting of course the new delivery methods?

we had our meeting with our DOM today he said that Royal Fail was on its last legs now with no extra cash at all ,so it was this deal or the company falls to its knees , there is no other plan
i pointed out that we may have had a better chance if all the managers , DOMs etc upwards had not been focused totally on their bonuses with out a thought as to the workforce and the concquences of what they were doing to us and the company , of course he chose not to answer , also i was ignored when i asked him to point out any one fact in this agreement that he could say was definatly going to happen ,as his talk was all about possibles , could be , maybe , and if (pigs might fly)
so these are the people that are going to lead us on to a brave new world of calm and cooperation "my Arse"

my vote has not changed still no , still union meeting next week maybe they can sway me !!!

This is what gets me,they had 4 months of negotiations,yet couldn't even come up with a contingency plan in case the proposal wasn't satisfactory to their members.Y'know,the people they represent?

To have spent this long putting all their eggs in one basket on a deal that they MUST have known would be unpalatable to the members,and then to turn around and say there is no other option is absolutely criminal.

If you couldn't negotiate then stand aside,you are clearly not fit for purpose.

Wont Happen, call rate on GEOROUTE will DECREASE, because we will now have six days to del D2D in rather than five.
According to some on here , D2D are not done in our own time but RM's anyway, so i bet that as far as RM are concerned it
already is built into workload. Dont see any extra walks going in & if you still have 3.5 hr del spans, well welcome to the real

Record profits,massive investment in equipment we dont need, fookin amazon,play.com and virgin media must be keeping RM afloat by themselves the amount of stuff im delivering of it on a day to day basis. I must have been in the same meeting. Our area rep was spouting how good the deal was. He also stated that rm were on its last legs and if we reject it he compared the fallout to that of the miners strike. he even said that d2d was up for outsourcing by rm.

I couldn't believe what i was hearing. He came with a guy who knew all about d2d issues and tried to sell it. They treat us a stupid, we gave them hell over ALL issues as we've read the agreement not just looked at money and d2d.

Anyhow, we're raising a patition in our office to come out of the union of this goes through.

Good News we were on our knees til the WAY FORWARD agreement, now we've stumbled back on to our two feet holding on to the Chairmans desk for support, only for the Chairman himself to bend you over and shaft you, us - well 1 for all n alll for 1 as the motto goes.
