Can anyone answer this question for me please? we have some staff at our office who bought down to 20 hour a week duties. However they were offered the chance to pair up and work one 40 hour week on and one 40 hour week off. They have been informed that now as they are part timers if they are off when there is a bank holiday they will only be credited for half a day. The lads asked the area rep to find out if this was correct but have never had a reply as he himself was not sure either.
Any info on this would be appreciated as I can then at least have peace when the holiday sheets are sent out.
Many thanks

Re: bank holiday days off
Will depend on how they are paid, if they are paid 20 hours a week of 40 hours a fortnight.
So they should be paid 4 hours for monday.

Re: bank holiday days off
Cheers Delboy, I believe they are paid 40 hours fortnightly so that would explain why they gat a half day credited for each bank holiday.
