Well yes and No.

IIRC It was the Unit at Portsmouth that voted no (but there was a query as they included the whole Unit in the vote instead of just the DO where the problems had occurred. http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... ed#p176347" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) and the branch will be made up of many different units and functions.

Portsmouth had a ballot on delivery problems, unfortunatly everyone in the MC was balloted and your typical indoor workers voted against strike action, the local rep managed to get a re-vote with only delivery voting and got a massive vote for strike action, these people were on strike for local issues just before the national action so don't try and dis them if that was your intention, they did thier bit and more and seems are now once again fighting the cause even if it means going agaist HQ, i applaud them

Its crazy that processing voted no in the last local IA ballot but it is they who are threatened the most with rumours of Portsmouth Mail Centre closure rife amongst staff.

As union members/reps it's a shame it has come to this, but the indoor workers of Slindon street have made their bed quite clearly on many occastion in the past and soon will have to lay in it, i have mixed feelings on this as i'm a union man through and through, I have and always will fight a battle that will protect all but the indoor workers have it seems voted on what is best for them, seems thier time is coming and fast, will they get the back up of thier delvery members now in thier time of need? I doubt it, Poor little sausages
