Executive Action in my office

Told in WTL today that an indoor review will be implemented without agreement.

Theyre saying the review is pre interim and 2010+beyond so those agreements dont apply.

Some peoples IPS has increased from 40mins weds to friday to 1hr50mins weds-friday leaving some walks just 22 mins to prep all their mail (yea ok so you may do more in your office but our walks have over 700 drops on average). We know the bloke who planned this has lied about the figures as they dont match those of the ex rep who dealt with this last year.

It makes no sense to have the chaos of a indoor revision when the new stich up deal is so close to being implemented, but the management say they need savings now.

Is there anything that can be done?

Has the rep started the IR framework. If so and its exhausted then ask branch for a ballot.

Sounds as though management are not exactly acting in the spirit of the new agreement though

We walked over this in October but the interim agreement stopped our action.

I think repmis going to disagreement over this but it wont stop its implementation.

Local IA wont stop this being introduced as the timescale ffrom ballot request to ballot result is too long.

Maybe best thing to do is let management hang themselves as the workload is unachievable?

The exact same thing with the same reasons you were given has just been implemented in our office this week.

Our IR rep hasnt agreed to it,unfortunately hes been off sick and they have went ahead with the changes.

The main problem we have is that the area rep works in our office and hes been agreeing to changes without consulting us.I asked why have we agreed to change indoor content and pointed out that before the proposed agreement was announced, he and HQ were questioning how traffic figures were calculated and how the IWT was being used.

He now says the mech trays cannot be questioned and only the manual sorted trays can be queried.

I have pointed out the usual suspects-what are the performance figures being used to calculate our prep time/walksort etc etc

I cant remember the exact words he used to explain the above but it had the same emotional effect of tumble weed rolling through a ghost town.To be honest sometimes i just feel like asking him outside for a square go,because im sick of playing the numbers game followed by the moving the goal posts game and so on and so forth- i already play those games with the DOM.

All royalmail targets are unachievable but they make it out as we cannot achieve them which leads to conduct code issues all for the sake of the greed of the few!. THIS IS THE SINGLE BIGGEST ISSUE WHICH WAS NOT DEALT WITH IN THIS SO CALLED AGREEMENT!.

All we know is the DOM is saying that the IPS now matches the workload for individual duties.

Ex rep didnt vote against it in the last union meeting as he said voting against it will save the DOMs neck. He reckons we should just let them do what they want and watch the office collapse.

I would be less inclined in worrying about an office collapse and more inclined in worrying about work colleagues collapsing through physical exhaust due to workloads.

It is not the office that will collapse but the people inside it will be picked off one by one!. GET A NEW REP AND GET AREA REPS INVOLVED TOO!.

They are suposed to be policing the interim agreement.

When our office had a revision forced in by ea last year , it all went tits up, big time . Some walks unachievable ( still not changed yet) overtime gone through the roof, more bullying and harrassment from managers,loads more off sick...and still even now some feckin muppets coming even earlier just to complete... why???Most days have to do more ips,but WE CAN STILL CUT OFF.....

Challenged our DOM on tuesday regarding this new relationship between RM and the CWU, i asked him will this new agreement spell
the end of EA? the reply was we will do all we can to avoid it.That will be a no then.
