management cuts ?

OK -so we've heard how the front line workforce needs to be cut .We have been offered a horrendous pay deal . But i don't hear much about managers facing similar reductions/pay reductions.
So if mail volumes are falling (questionable IMO) , surely less upper level management is needed?

I do believe that once they have finished with us and the new way of working the managers will be next. There was rumours of altering their grade to take on delivery work to cover holidays and sickness. A kind of flexi manager

I cant see how they can survive otherwise without many jobs becoming partime as there wont be much to do once the posties have gone out.

to be fair DOMs seem to get it pretty harsh .the people above them are my target . i think every SOM should have to do a delivery once a week in all the offices they are accountable for. looking at figures on excel is no substitute for witnessing the reality on the workfloor.

No they have not finished with us just think of the most hateful person who is not a manager becoming your boss as managers will in time cease to exist except for the top one's of course!. It will be along the lines of the present day couch !.
