who does the queen's telegram?

today i delivered 2 an old folk's home. They were having a party for a lady who was 100 today. I had never met anyone that age b4 and neither did most of the residents who were all happy for her. I kept getting asked if i delivered the card from the queen which was on show. So who sends it? RM or some special service from the palace?

I delivered one last week and it was registered, but it stated on the back, "if no one in please deliver without a signiture"

We do,I've delivered a couple.

when they come into the office the box office has to ring the palace and confirm that its being delivered on that day, done quiet a few i like the look on their face when they get them ofcourse i make a big thing of it which makes them even more proud.

I delivered 2 when I worked for RM, One for a diamond wedding anniversary & one for a hundredth birthday party. Both times they were specials & I had to get a signature.

The first one was to a farm & I knocked on the door but nobody was round so I shouted. An old boy came out from behind a bush doing his flies up & when he got hold of my pen to sign there was a drop of wee on his finger

Needless to say, I told him to keep the pen

i deliver them,one morning i got to the door with a aniversery card when i knocked on the door at 8.30 the old boy stuck his head out of the window and shouted f****off i just signed and pushed it thru .

Yep Ive had that before.Also when Princess Di funeral we had to put the reggies through without knocking or signature.I used to have a Lady/Lord on my walk who would get various register/recordeds from Buckingham Palace which had to be put through the door if no-one was in to sign.If any one knows if this is common practice,I would love to known.

yup you can put them through,they usually arrive at the DO a day before being due for delivery

Not entirely naked .............. I used to wear a leopard skin thong - I'd done quite a few before someone mentioned it was on back to front By the way DGP I wasn't going to mention that bit - blabbermouth
