how bad is this problem?
are managers actually instructed to behave this way or is it because they are under pressure too?
anybody know of people who couldn't finish their delivery - being done for wilful delay?
how quickly are grievances dealt with?
anybody know of someone taking RM to employment tribunal for victimisation/bullying/harassment or wilful delay etc?

I just had a B&H complaint part upheld against a manager and that's meant to be resolved within 28 days from the initial meeting to discuss the complaint. Mine took longer because people that needed to be interviewed were on A/L but it took 6 weeks in total.

your lucky i put a grievance in about a manager in september and still waiting for the out come of it the union are supposed to be looking into it the dom said the papers got lost ohh really they thought id forgot about it so iam re submitting it been on rm for 30 years been there to long to listen to there crap in it goes again

Follow the procedure. At stage 1, you give them 5 working days to give you an outcome otherwise you put in a stage 2:

sometimes its not the managers but your work collegues that do the harassing!!!

are managers actually instructed to behave this way or is it because they are under pressure too? Both. LM are told by DOMs to take no prisoners and DOM's are told by Area Managers they MUST make savings by any means.

Aye, got one like that in our office. Which works fine when he's doing it to other people. Ofc I have a big mouth and won't take any s**t from him. So we end up going nose to nose most of the time. Most of the time we get on great. But when he forgets who he's speaking to and starts, he ends up biting off more than he can chew.

Have stood back and watched others walk away from him feeling intimidated and wonder how they can do it. I really wish I had the patience to tell him to speak to the hand and walk away.

Well why don't you tell the DOM? For you to witness other people being intimidated by this person and do nothing about it makes you nearly as bad as him.
