What with the later starting times supposedly upon us..

Say folk are out to 4pm or later doing a delivery - do RM think that some Posties are gonna say YES to doing some O/T to clear another walk and be out delivering at 6 or 7 pm.. Seriously any one in their right mind will now be telling the DOM to go take a RUN 'n' JUMP.. Can't wait til i see more DOMs/DIMs out doing some walks.

All posties will be expected to cover sick absense in their duty time,and if they cant or wont.

YOU ARE NOT UP TO TOP 10%,PERFORMANCE ISSUE,CONDUCT CODE,NOT A LEG TO STAND ON.

Just my interpratation of agreement, but i am sure the DOMS wont see that way

if you take your time and work to your time
you should have no problem

The old do the job properly is off the agenda with this EVERYBODY upto top 10% part of agreement.

Or maybe i am concerned over nothing.We are in a new era of trust now RM wouldnt use this against us,its not in the spirit of the agreement .

No they use each other for that no need for oranges your oranges are safe!.

Well our office has been covering sick absence everyday since the new year.. IF this new agreement comes in to force then as i say if O/T is up for grabs do you really see 1 of us saying yes i'll do an extra half a walk on O/T especially if its a d2d day and its a 100% call rate.. hmmm don't think so.

Conversely, if everyone agrees to do the job really badly, we'll all be equally bad and there still wouldn't be a 'top 10%',

No they have not. I know it wont work, you know it wont work and i dare say most on here know it wont work. If you do your job correctly, not cut corners, dont rush about and follow basic H&S then your be lucky to finish your duty in the time given let alone merging other duties. Sometimes in our office we can have upto 6 people off sick then you have people on holiday, infact were that stretched there is OT going everyday in our office and they struggle some days to get walks covered now as it is. Some days walks have been left in due to staffing shortages, so fook knows what its gonna be like when all thier new, great modernisation ideas come in eh. As you say people wont work after 3pm as most have commitments like me and have to get the kids from school etc, even so you would'nt catch me walking the streets at 6 or 7pm on the night NO CHANCE!! Infact your be a sitting duck for all the criminals out there now would'nt you??

So again no, i dont think RM have really thought this through
