Trust CWU

Post by kendo1 »

Some Years ago Status Quo brought out a record.
Youre in the Army now.
look at the lyrics and think how they aply to CWU AND RM

A vacation in a foreign land
Uncle Sam does the best he can
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now

Now you remember what the draftman said
Nothing to do all day but stay in bed
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now

Remake the video
You could have DAVE WARD AT A CWU Yes ROADSHOW featuring Billy HAYES AND BOB GIBSON telling us what a great deal it is.
Trust the CWU VOTE YES,then rember what the Draft man said,a Vacation in a foreing land, nothing to do all day but to lay in bed

What did the CWU SAY
A Good deal ,more money.jobs Guranteed,Understading more caring Managment, work load etc monitiored by local groups, more Saturdays off.more Family freindly etc.

Go back to the Draft man.
Many people compare Dave ward to a iffy used car dealer, would you buy a car from this man,let alone sign your job away!

Its not the group I am comparing, the meaning of the song.

The Draft man has a job to do,to get as many people as possible to join the army and fight.-Thats what he is selling,
If he told the truth how many would join up,so he sells it in a way thats selective with the Truth.

The CWU are selling this agreement,If they told people the truth about how many people would vote yes.If they are selective with the truth as they are
in the bits they are promoting, its sounds a great deal media certainly thinks so.So do some people on here.

So you definatley have comparissons, CWU Dave Ward, saying dont worry lads be alright under this new agreement, well see you alright lots of lump sums
Managers are going to be understaning etc.

1 forum member has already predicted what will happen in April If we have a yes vote.

Lad who joins the army, fighting for survival, thinks Draft man said nothing to do all day but to lay in bed a vaction in Foreign land.

Postie who voted yes ,in a few months time, slogging his guts out got to do d2d ,on a 5 hr walk, having to run round to keep up with the top 10 per cent in the Country, got a Manager on his back threating him with suspension for not working hard enough, wife is nagging because they are fiancial worse off,his body is almost about to collapse, then he thinks back to what Dave said about voting yes ,Dont worry lads be alright great deal.

If we vote NO and throw this agreement out, does that mean we get to keep the status quo ? :dance

Status quo, a commonly used form of the original Latin "statu quo" is a Latin term meaning the current or existing state of affairs.[1] To maintain the status quo is to keep the things the way they presently are
