Part timers to lapse everyday of the week?

Yup starting Monday we part timers are to walk in at start time and be met with walks all prepped, bundled and bagged by f/t.
But and you knew there'd be a but, p/t are to do the lapsing of rounds every day of the week. So how many agreements does this p*ss all over and what excuses will they be throwing at us to justify this? Not that we part timers have been told, everyone else has had a meeting but not us. Anyone?

Today I prepped my own walk completely, all trays, flats, packets door to doors, everything. Did all kill offs, re-directions etc, bagged up and did my part of the lapsed walk.

Went over half an hour.

are u saying this is the first time u have lapsed a walk? we have been lapsing walks for nearly 18 months in our office,every day (except sat) both ft/pt staff.and its not always same walk,every week.

What im saying is that while up until now both p/t and f/t have lapsed walks on Monday and Tuesday, from next week we p/t folk will be the only ones to do lapsing and lapse every day. What other offices have been doing i have no clue, so forgive me if this seems i'm complaining over nothing...

no worries mate,wont make any diff to me,like i say been doing it nearly 18 months,just about finishing my walk on time,or going over my time,but being paid for it after 5-10 mins explaining why.if this gets voted in,theirs no way i could finish my walk on time,i struggle now.if job market was a bit healthier i would walk out now,but we all know what the situation is like re:employment.

whats the problem working extra half hour to lapse as long as you finish on time (if thats what you want)

Wigan DO started lapsing Summer 2008 and they keep shifting the goalposts as far as what triggers it. For example, they told us that if the office traffic drops beneath 200,000 items in one day then we have to lapse, but they've stopped telling us the traffic figures and there are days when the volume seems to be easily exceeding 200,000 yet we are still lapsing (today being a good case in point).

The problem at the moment is not being made aware of exactly what we are supposed to be doing come Monday when the drivers and full timers have all been briefed and the p/t have not. If we are the only folk lapsing in the office and the split between f/t and p/t is, and im quoting here, 75/25 are we to assume we will be doing more than the usual "20 minutes" lapsing to make up the shortfall?
There are many more questions that need answering but this is the first one that enters my head, others regarding prep of D2D etc. I suppose i'll just have to wait 'til i see the union rep, but i'd still like to be 'forewarned is fore armed' before management start giving us the spiel, if they ever get round to briefing us. I suppose it's easier just to spring it on us rather than give us the chance to argue the toss.

Correct and the Management equivalent is having Mocha instead of Latte and them ordering for 2 instead of just themselves.

Was told to do it once, told DOM if he could show me any agreement to us doing this I would do it, he told me there is an agreement and I have to do it, said again show me were it is written, he couldn't and I walked away from him to do my own walk and have not been asked since.
