publicity

another strike called another day the news buried it,but the thing that gets me is there wasn't that much to bury it under.
we all know leighton has 'associates' in the media, the cwu has to start SHOUTING cos at the minute no-one cares about this strike or what were fighting for.we need publicity big and fast, get the big spin from our side cos at the moment the public dosn't give sweet fa.time t call in some favours cwu

There was a lot going on in the news today, some heavy s**t going down, there was only a bit on Sky that i saw.
But as a rule there seems to be a black out

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We had a lot of media and press people outside Mount Pleasant for the first strike, and it was the first item on the TV news until about 8am when the news about the London car bombs broke, and all the press headed off for Piccadilly. After that there were only a couple of short bits towards the end of the news. There was very little abot the second strike.
The media has been under pressure from the Goverment's news manipulators not too mention any industrial disputes for many years. The CWU will have to try to get through the media blackout.

one from the x files
is the lack of exposure in the press and everywhere else down to the fact that these strikes are agreed between the union and rm to secretly force the govt to give us the commercial freedom that both sided agree we need to make the business sucessfull

They crossed live to the other crew due to mistaken identity. They saw a pink shirt emerging from a hell-hole and thought it was Alan Leighton on his way out from a meeting with Crozier

Paris would be an excellent candidate to replace Alan Leighton.

Would certainly be a refreshing change to have a top boss getting screwed repeatedly by postmen, rather than the other way round :Very Happy
