Overheard Managers Phone Call

Basically,they are facing job cuts and are none too pleased about the late finishes or having to sell this to us the work force.I'm also friendly with one of the lino's wife (fnarr,fnarr) and she reckons he's shitting bricks over this.

I genuinely don't think anyone 'at the coal face' wants this to go through.

The DOM said the other day there will be cuts within management and yes they will have to stay later, what a shame eh :dance
Not sure whats happening regarding the LM's at my office, they are all changing section areas next week, is the DOM testing them to see who's pulling their weight or not, if thats the case they would be all out of a job :left:

Maybe we could start a fund for them? It would be a shame to have to see them get a proper job.

They can kiss goodbye to going home at 10:30 on a Saturday now any way.I know they do it as I spent one doing knock outs during rehab!

I know who's on the dole anyway,I have a lino that,after 3 year,I'm still none the wiser what they actually do.

I'm not so sure i would, on a knee jerk reaction i agree, but it would be intresting to see senior RM managers why all their staff were out on strike.

i think they will use the managers to push through the changes then get rid of them. I seem to rember that there Mtsf agreament was withdrawn from them. So lets hope they do not go with golden handshakes.

Sorry Dont argree a picket line has historical roots,emerging from class struggle,the moment you accept bosses money,to do bosses bidding,to enhance to chances to be a boss even on the lowest level,you do not set a picket line up out of principle,only out of selfpreservation,not class solidarity.The slogan an injury to one is an injury to all does not apply here,they can't have their cake and eat it.

Hold on a minute, these are the people that happily crossed our lines, they were happy to drive people in the back of vans accross ours, happy to pick up big bonuses making our life a misery, they bully us and twist every agreement i and you have stood on the street for, thier time is coming and fast, sod them they deserve all they get and i would be the first to cross thier picket line with a huge smile on my face, not that it will ever happen as they don't have the balls to do it.

So me are made of better stuff and should support the people that screwed us over on ever agreement we fought for?

i'm a good person and have strong and sound morals but i'm not with you on this one, they made thier bed and can lay in it as far as i am concerned.
