Going back to when we were on strike last year alot of the members on here spoke along the lines that a pay rise would be nice but more importantly was the terms and conditions to which we were all working under,pegusus revisions that calculated a totaly unmanage able workload to which are still in place in my office,after re-assurance that this would not happen,the same re-assurances are in this latest agreement and i am finding it difficult to take on board the trust of RM.Now it seems should this get voted in that i am now expected to take on unlimited D2D and take a pay cut to me personally of 20 quid a week.I fully realise that the economic climate outside is not good ,and in my opinion delivery has taken the biggest blow in this agreement.the pressure and stress is bad enough now without this extra workload,i am not against change and modernisation but if RM want to modernise it must have a content workforce to take forward for this to happen.i cannot believe that our union reps have sanctioned this deal more work and less pay its a no vote from me......

It was never about money for me,it was about the workload and the working environment,but.......after tabling this proposal CWU have made it about money,while we all take our eye off the ball in regards to working conditions.

I'm honestly stunned that the CWU would offer this to its members.

Although the reduction is on gross hours, in net terms it will mean delivery employees are working 35 hours 40 minutes per week and mail centre employees below 35 hours due to relaxation allowances.

I could have lived with a pay freeze for the second year running if it meant a change to the working conditions we are currently under.

"We need to lose hours,here's another 100 calls" "what do you mean you're cutting off? suspension and conduct code" bullying new starts etc.

I cannot live with a pay cut,more work,and none of our original grievances dealt with.

I remember the letter that went up in our DO from cwu to RM around Nov. It mentioned independant experts in work-time management examining the work we are expected to do. But the ageeement puts it back in the hands of RM who will ride rough-shod over any recommendations from the workshops. Nothing in the agreement protects us over excessive workload. Nothing.

I take it that from a delivery point of view, you will be working 39 hours - (5 x meal relief at 40 minutes) = 35 hours 40 minutes. I think its a way of saying we will still be getting paid meal relief.

Money was always a side issue for me, bullying managers, intimidation to hit unrealistic workload standards and the total ignorance to national agreements was what i took 17 days industrial action for and to ask me to trust the same people in this agreement forget it.Anybody who thinks RM will abide by any agreement is in fantasy land. One agenda and they dont care!!

I'll be honest, imposing a pay freeze on us last year maddened me like Hell.
I was striking for an improvement in our working conditions, and a long overdue, with no strings attached, payrise, and I make no apologies to anybody for saying so.
