With this proposal to uncap the D2D's and thus possibly sent vast numbers each week, will this also mean that companies such as TNT etc, can send their D2D contract down to us by the DSA system, so in effect not only will we have RM's crap but possibly DSA crap as well?

Well, increase in mail (D2D) would mean removal of absorbing for a start as we were told we had to do it because mail volumes had declined by 10%!!

I think they're already doing it mate. Haven't you see the D2D boxes with TNT printed on them? Once the agreement is through it will just mean more of that I suspect. Once more us posties doing the work so TNT can take the profit. If you ask me that's what's behind the D2D section of the agreement.

Roy are saying the price TNT pay RML is cheaper than everyone else using DTD, if so have you any evidence?

TNT are making theri money on the pre drop off at RDC stage, that is something customers can do for themselves or they can use TNT or RML print assist service both of which cost the customer money.

Im going to send out a leaflet to every house in the country advertising RMC, I dont have the infra structure to get my leaflets from the printers get them prepared to meet RM presentation requirements or drop them off at a RDC.

So who im gonna call ghostbusters or a comapny that can do all that for me including booking the leaflets in with RML for a delivery date and taking care of the payment?


Well im going to go for the 2nd option, lets have a look at the market for this service TNT and RML can do this for me, for a fee of course on top of the normal charge for DTD.

TNT website is clear customers can have TNT book their leaflets in at RML for them. Why do they use this service rather than TNT own network which claims to go to 20 million households? Well it is claimed DTD has more prestige being delivered with the post and those sending out leaflets belive it. Being a RML person I naturally choose to use print assist which will cover the same service that i would get from TNT.

Perhaps TNT will see less use of their ownnetwork?

Anyway I had 4 leaflets in the local paper last week, so even if they went with us instead I would still get 7 leaflets in my house, but hey lets ignore that shall we as its not what we want to hear!!!!

I admire your tenacity Big Daz. I have seen you post this elsewhere but you are right - no-one wants to hear it.
The FACT is (and everyone knows it) we are going to get over a million D2D each week and most will have pens in.
Everyone is getting shafted (p/t- pro rata) and the rainforest will disappear overnight.FACT
