I ask this, cos if these changes are made about stopping Cars on delivery, and also later start times .... then how will overtime be done on other walks ?????
Surely the only way, would be to have overtime drop bags, dropped off by RM instead of the usual practice of people putting the overtime in their cars !!!!
Added to which, if you`re not finishing your own duty till gone 3pm....come the winter months, will we be seeing our posties delivering in the dark, up to and beyond 5pm ?????

Funnily enough I was asked to do some O/T today (it is a bit on a walk that no one wants to do as it is very odd... I know it so no problem)
I said that I'd do it on my way home and use my car to get there.

Already stopped in a lot of offices. Once car derived vans come in you will be taking the work van home anyway (if there's no room in you DO car park for them) so no need to use uninsured private vehicals.

When the agreement is agreed how long before the ban comes in force.
And,even though NO mail is taken can car users take their car out to their 1st pouch box/del point and wait for a driver to drop stuff off.

It is my understanding Postman that the ban on private cars is when your office has its new delivery methods revision implemented.
I.E. CDV and HCT, Therefore negating the need for anybody to drive in private car to 1st delivery point.

If any other walk needs doing let the dim doms do them cos I will be working my hours and no way would i use my own car, when are some people going to learn to do the job properly
