no time scale for ballot

Got a memo from Glasgow Area branch today and it said " that there is no time scale for the ballot".
Surely they have a time scale so that we can get ballot done as quick as possible so they can move things forward or backwards if we hopefully get a NO vote

Lovejoy did mention the 23rd March 2010(no mistakes this time lovejoy )for ballot papers to be sent out (he did say this was not confirmed).

I put my own views on this in previous threads nothing has made me change my mind since.

Rep in my office said they know if ballot comes out now it would be a No vote.seemingly a bit of spin still to come from cwu before the vote.

RE: National Agreement – Local Briefings / Ballot Timetable

The purpose of this LTB is to advise Branches that the ballot timetable will be finalised next week and notified to Branches accordingly.

The Union is currently undertaking detailed briefings with all local representatives across the United Kingdom. These local representative briefings are crucial to our commitment that when CWU members vote on the new National Agreement, they do so on the most informed basis possible.

The full schedule for these briefings, including those that have already been completed, are set out below:

Bristol Tuesday 16th March covering all unit reps in South West / South Wales region
Birmingham Wednesday 17th March covering all unit reps in the Midlands
Manchester Thursday 18th March covering all unit reps in the North West
Glasgow Friday 19th March covering all unit reps in Scotland
York Tuesday 23rd March covering all unit reps in North East region
London Wednesday 24th March covering all unit reps in the South East / Anglia and South Central divisions
London Monday 29th March covering all unit reps in London

These briefings will be supported by further direct communications to CWU members’ home addresses.

It really is important that every CWU Branch conveys to their local members that the union is currently undertaking these briefings and that the ballot will take place after they have concluded.

The Postal Executive will be meeting next week and will also consider the latest position on pensions.

Further information will be sent out in due course.

There will be no ballot papers until these reps briefings have been completed and reps have had a chance to "inform" members.
The last is in London on the 29th.

the union know they do not have support for a yes vote hence they are running scared

fyi i have read the letter from Glasgow Amal and i will be suprised if their is a ballot called before april
