Admitting defeat?

Our Onion rep went to a C.W.U.meeting the other day, he has arranged an onion meeting for us on Wednesday in a local pub after delivery to outlay the current plans, he left a notice on the board today stating no matter what is voted on the management WILL implement all changes anyway. So this meeting is to outline the changes and for you to plan your future accordingly, is this how it is to be sold now? and if so why not just come clean to all and stop trying to sell us the deal whilst selling us down the river as far as any public support will go. Why don't they just say this is a bad deal but the best we can manage, at least then the public will know we are being screwed instead of thinking we are turning down a fantastic recession busting deal.
We are a tiny little delivery office on a main road so the extra vans required would have nowhere to park, the trolley option again we don't have the room to store them whilst not in use, not to mention all the hills around here!
The managment nor union can advise what will happen to our office yet we are expected to vote on it brilliant!!!

So we are supposed to vote blind on something which the union is now selling as take what you can get cos we haven't the fight to get anymore or a better deal, and something which will be implemented anyway.

Very strange line of threat coming from our union pen pushers ,over and over again. They seem to be implying that this leadership is dead in the water and is incapable of protecting the membership. Sounds like a suicide note to me. Just go chaps, new faces could hardly do worse

I've heard a few union reps have been told that they must tow the part line. Some have even been fooled into thinking it is a good deal ... considering.

The relevant question is not Is it a good deal ? but is there any chance of achieving anything better ?
And it's because so many believe that the changes will just be implemented anyway that many, perhaps most, will reluctantly vote for acceptance, especially remembering how the strikes last year didn't achieve much.

this agreement is only an agreement between rm and the cwu negotiating team/executive.the people who matter when the vote takes place are the membership.
part time staff look to be getting the short straw,eg,d2d payments, more work less money. mc workers the vast majority of job losses. full time delivery workers,
later starts,later finishes on saturdays all ips sorting, frame prepping of part time staff frames. this agreement must not become an agreement,for the sake of our health and mental well-being. now can anyone tell me who are the winners in this ageement?
