People in mail centres getting a vote on Posties conditions

No offence to Mail centre staff but why again are the mail centre staff getting a vote on Posties conditions and getting money plus benefits again(like back in 2007 agreement that i voted 'no' on) when their conditions don't change and we get a rubbish deal. This sort of way is splitting us down the middle again. Even the CWU directors admit it will be a close vote presumably for that reason. The union are in no way giving us a fair chance to vote on our own conditions.

I voted against the 2007 P&M Agreement too, and I certainly didn't get any benefits from it.
And I wouldn't get any benefits from this one either - unless you count a below inflation pay increase.
It will effect the 50% of MC staff who's offices will be closing in the next few years, and this Agreement
covers that, which is why we get to vote on it.
It is not just an Agreement about Delivery staff.

Blame the union for that then , what do you expect when we are all voting for different agenda's ,it is bound to cause a us and them attitude and playing right in to RM hands .

it`s pretty obvious that this agreement isn`t very popular.i work in a large mail centre,but i too am not sure which way to vote.
any ideas that might convince me into a yes vote.

Someone I talk to from the Mail Centre was telling me what a good deal it was and the best thing that could happen in the near future was to franchise all deliveries, it took a lot of will power from me not to kick off at him about his comment. All I said back was the MC's will be gone before that happens and walked away

They get a vote because if we think deliveries are going to be bad we should try working in an MC RDC ect that will be far worse. They Only get upto 8 pounds if they qualify through a very complicated set of hurdles and its my understanding that most will get very little if anything, the will lose upto 50% of their work sites whilst doing much more work with much further to travel, they get no shair of any savings? looking at whats going to happen to them i think RM and the CWU would have been wise to split the vote into Two because they should vote an even stronger NO vote than deliveries. Its a mistake i and many in our office have made but i have asked a few MC workers here whats going to happen to them and its horrific they have far more to lose on a yes vote than deliveries.

More whinging about what the deal means for dely against what it means for MC staff and why should one get to vote for the other when it doesn't affect the other .... get a grip will you, do you really want a divided workforce??? this is the kind of situation RM want to see happening.
Is anyone going to vote about MC closures to shaft MC workers cos they voted yes to this deal!! Wake up time I think, changes are coming and the union have to accept that some will lose out or would we like to go down a road where we have vastly differing pay scales,more work for walking men,MCs have to close as RM look to stay afloat cos technically they are bust, or would everyone rather not have a job under the way things are going,the economy is sh*t and will be for a couple of years at least the union has secured pay rises for the future and if there is work there..take it
