How many letters in a plastic tray?

had 10 mins before i started work this morning so counted my letters in my fullest tray.......

340..... not 150............340 it was fookin rammed

That'd be a tray of mech then, counted by a machine?

Rather than a tray of manual which is what the container count argument is actually about?

That will be the ones where the 'flats' have loads of letters in, funny it never used to happen before we modernised.

That's right - becuase the flats were sorted manually on one area and the letters were sorted manually in another area, whereas now flats and non-LSM-able letters are both sorted by a flats sorting machine at the same time.

They are counted accurately are they? Because not even our lineo beleives that.

I'm not saying I believe that they are counted accurately - I don't.

I was just responding to your point about letters and flats being mixed in trays through the FSM and confirming that yes, this has only started happening since the modernisation of the flats sorting part of the job, I didn't say anything about accuracy.

just out of interest, i also had

tesco clubcard

lib dem letters x 4 bundles,

matalan x 4 bundles

3 more perstop trays

not too bad on flats today thank fook, same for packets
