Our DOM went to a meeting yesterday and he has come in today and issued us all with sheets that we are supposed to fill in before we tie up every day for the next week.
We must count the gaps in our fittings, so that they can tell us what our call rate is over the week and we have to list our packets.
We are not allowed to count any D2D'S.

Apparently he reckons that we are only going to get a max of 4 D2D'S in the near future and things can be looked at if they go beyond that.

We have no rep as I expect many offices haven't, so even before most people have read the agreement, let alone voted, we have a DOM who is just doing what he wants.

I actually think he will ensure that people who may have voted yes will change there mind as they will see that we are treated with no respect at all.

Every agreement and interim agreement that has come in since I started this job both national and local ones I hear of this sort of thing happening. It sort of makes you wonder that if as promised by RM, and apparently banked on by the CWU Hierarchy, if there is going to a culture change in their approach.

Every agreement and interim agreement that has come in since I started this job both national and local ones I hear of this sort of thing happening. It sort of makes you wonder that if as promised by RM, and apparently banked on by the CWU Hierarchy, if there is going to a culture change in their approach.

The issue for me is not whether we have a rep or not, it is surely that if we are to believe that we have to trust RM, then why then are DOM'S not being made to ensure that they do everything not to ruffle any feathers and wait until the vote and if it is a yes vote, then try to work with the office.

If he has come back from a meeting yesterday and has done this, then it makes me think he has been told to do it. With the trust already at rock bottom, I wouldn't have thought this was a great idea.

Well lets hope its a a NO vote.We had a manager counting the call rate on frames over a month ago,what we are being told this week is that 100+ hours are coming out of our office and our area rep who works in our office seems to be in agreement with management.

He(area rep) seems oblivious to the fact that there is no health and safety in the workplace ie;nobody but a hand full weighing their bags-i point this out and say how much time has been given to weigh bags in the office and if you dont know how much time has been given then how can u agree with management that hours can be cut?Im not up to date with H&S he says/60% of staff(including the area rep) come in over 40 mins before their start time and some of them even walksort before their start time,so i ask how much of that work is for free,it dosnt make a difference its based on traffic figures he says/so how are the traffic figures calculated i ask,are they still based on that new average for each tray,what is that figure now,not sure he says and so on etc etc etc

You are absolutely right, but you know that if your call rate is higher than they want it to be they will just keep re-counting it until they get what they want.

They have tested the same walk 4 times in our office and it just isn't matching in with their walk time, so then it is too much dead walking or postman too slow, even though different postman have been sent out on it.

It's quite funny in a way as this was supposed to be the first of many walks tested, but they can't get past this one yet.
