Whats the agreed prep rate?

Post by mclovin »

Is there one for prepping mail into the fitting, not talking about sorting mail.

Gaffer seems to think I can throw mine and another in, in the time it currently takes to do mine at the minute.

I throw them in quite quickly and get out the door on time usually, just, so the figures he has for how much mech mail I get is either wrong or his prep rate figures are wrong.

Either way it would be an impossible task. Can he use this indoor worktool? Is it an agreed practice??

I am also prepping 2 walks, my own (fulltime) and for some unknown reason a part time round (god only knows why i have to do someone elses work aswell as my own). The DIM also expects me to do 2 peoples work in 1 persons time. What planet are theses muppets on? Maybe i should go part time and get an easy ride!

ask your rep they are called prep prep duties and have to be agreed. what happens is they down grade a full time duty get you to prep it then pay some silly sod to come in take it out and deliver it for 4 hours thus saving 4 hours for the fat cats piggy bank. it is also giving them the chance to start people on 20 hour contracts.
the indoor workload tool is a pile of balls it works out the amount of letters you should have preped i think the rate is 31 letters on ips and 25 at your frame say for 1 hour 25 letters x 60 mins 1500 letters that rate is only for a prep test not all the time you are preping
a prep test is only done for a minute and not straight away they have to let you build up a head of steam not go we are testing your prep rate go and start timing you.
and the last time i was a rep the indoor workload tool was never agreed.
