finishing times on saturdays

what is the normal time for most fulltimers to finish on a sat we are having to change our hours soon because of sequenced mail when we start to get it in our office

At present its 13-00, though most of us dont take a break and finish at 12-20, but thats by streaming and cutting off, otherwise with the amount of mail we get on Sats now it would be around 60 or90 minutes later. So at present its just possible to get to play local football and cricket with a 2pm start time, but in the future that looks very unlikely unless this proposed agreement is changed or voted out. Just cannot see the logic of it, and I've thought long and hard about it belive me.

My hours now on a saturday are 07:15 to 15:15. I have to go like a lunatic to see my beloved footie. Thanx to this wonderful new deal it will mean the end of 30 years of supporting my team - needless to say its a big no from me on the vote!!!

If we go to 3 in my office then I'd be looking at a 2.10 finish, 40 minute break at end and 10 minutes pouching off time although I believe that P.O's are shut by 1 on a Saturday so not sure how that would work.

You cannot legally take 40 mins at the end of your shift.

I assume that would mean a saturday as well otherwise the CWU and RM will look a little silly not to mention in contravention of H&S regulation.

The difference was it was your choice to pick a rural and in case you haven't noticed rurals will move to 4pm.

been told that royal mail are pushing for 9 till 5 in our office they just do wot they want our part of the country and yes your rite i did pick a rural as most of our town walks are P/T and i aint going P/T
