No doubt this agreement is going to get the big thumbs down from us posties (rightly so) But Joe public will be horrified Ive listed a few newspaper headlines below

Royal Mail last night bowed to union demands by offering workers a 'gold-plated' pay package which will give them more money - for less work.


Cant help wondering if public will understand whats going on and turn against us..Also have been reading on hear that many are fed up with CWU and are going to stop paying subscriptions (cant blame us) but what would the RM be like without the CWU


Truth is like it or not... fight all we like I really dont think we are ever going to get what we want its just not possible in this sad day and age...Today is all about targets and profits

And before I hear the usual roll over and die,give up the fight quotes..im really not like that (love a fight,desperate for a revolution)

and Yes im voting NO to the agreement..no doubt many will and this will drag on and on and on

PS would be great if we could get our point out to the public about how crap this deal is

PPS just another thought does anyone know what happened to the old idea of selling off of RM, could this still be in the pipe line if the public hate us and the CWU crumble

Well the indoor staff at my gaff are rubbing their hands for the extra £20.60 D2D payment. They deffo are to vote yes

Iv seen it all before most posties saying they will vote no but they will yote yes and not tell you
I can remember 1995 strike or was it 1997 when royalmail wanted to bring in teamworking posties at my office were saying fuk the union im coming to work same bloody people next day were on picket lines they say 1 thing and mean another.
i will be voting no because im getting a pay cut but its going to be a yes vote of that im sure

I am not so sure this time as the later sat's will hit everyone so i am really hoping it a BIG no. Trouble is say its a NO then they go away a tweek the wording and offer us the same thing (rem the way forward) so we reject that as well and they decide to stick up two fingers to the CWU and try to introduce it by exc action. Then we are back to square one

The BA workers have certainly been slated in the media without being able to put their voice across. Makes my stomach churn, they are trying to break all unions.

Been telling all my customers about the pants deal that's on the table. so hopefully they will spread the word too. Let's start by getting our own customers on side. Especially if you tell old Mrs Smith who's out in her garden talking to everyone that walks by.
