Yesterday +Today every house ,Council tax DFS .Etc
Yesterday many of us had 7 bags some 8 ! .
Today slightly lighter but had to do all cut offs from yesterday.Management made it clear wanted no Cut offs today.
Luckily today managed to get done just with seconds to spare.
Absoultley knackered at end of it, 2 days of going to every house with loads of mail.
Most of us dont carry bags but use trolleys,OK back dont hurt but Hips and ankles do from pulling heavy trolley.
On way homE I WAS THINKING i cant keep this pace up that I have been doing the last couple of days.
under this new agreement looks like you will have to go to everyhouse everyday,I WONT BE ABLE TO KEEP THE PACE UP EVERY DAY!
Where will the CWU be when I and their must be more SAY i am unable to keep the pace up.
Was delivering to a nurses house who lives at the end of round who Told me to slow down and to stop rushing around or else I will have a heartatack!
I just finished as the van came to collect me .
I REALLY DO NOT KNOW HOW i will be able to go to everyhouse every day ,compete on time and not suffer health problems.
The CWU really seem like they dont care about us.
As for falling volumes,i have never seen so bags on the vans as yesterday on average 42 bags,We never had this not even at Xmas
Managers getting tough regarding cutt offs,and taking action against people who do,all perfectly OK with CWU.

Funny enough Ive been thinking the very same this week. It started tough last sat with council tax every house then Monday we had every house again with a water board letter. Today it was Sainsbury turn and some other white flats which took up nearly every slot.
We are getting more people going sick daily and others trying to get onto rest days instead of weeks as they cannot cope waiting 5 weeks for time off.
This can only get worse when 5 hour deliveries are rolled out and extra D2D,s.

simple mate if you have to cut off then you cut off, managers cant tell you that you cant cut off, thats the 1 thing they cant take away from us, if they give us an unmanagable work load then cut off and they cant do anything about it aslong as you worked your hours

Since last Thursday we've had housing association stuff twice (one mailing was a thick large flat for all houses), council tax, DFS and NHS. Awful time of year for deliveries.
