Why work Saturdays

They can charge extra for delivering specials etc on Saturdays, it would be nice if it was Mon - Fri though

Is mail declining? Saturdays have been getting like any other day lately in terms of volume in our DO. Last week everyday was heavy.

All this talk of having 1 in 4 Saturdays off does not answer the question,of how you go to watch your footy team,spend FAMILY time with the kids at their events,play your different sports or whatever you do now by finishing early on a Sat.
You will still work later on Sat,will you be able to say, I want that Sat off my teams at home etc. etc. No you will probably end up worse off than you are now.

Don't worry, Billy and Dave have added a late amendment to the agreement. We all get 'modernised' into becoming Man Utd supporters (see note below) and Crozier's parting gift is his old mates at the FA have agreed that all Man U's premiership fixtures will now be live on Sky on Sunday afternoon


* none of their supporters actually live in Manchester, so it doesn't matter if Man U aren't your local team

Later Saturdays were always going to come in.
The walk sequencing machines and the multi million pound investment in them made sure of that.
So this is RM's idea.

What the CWU seems to have done in the negotiations as they no doubt knew that it's a piss off for us all,is get the 1 off in 4 deal.

So a bit of kudos to the CWU for that bit.

Now it does not matter what DOM's,DSM's,AGM's or aunt fanny says about it,once the formula is published then you are within your right to go for it.End of!
