Most people are angry with the CWU for a bloody good reason, or two.

1. I did at least, at least sixteen mornings on the picket lines last summer/autumn, not so I could have my Saturday afternoons completely f****d-up, nor was it so I could have limitless amounts of D2D shyte heaped like a pile of manure all over my workload, and for less money than I'm getting for just three piles of the shyte right now.

2. What is the good of being a member of a union that aids and abets RM thugs in worsening our working conditions?

3. Can you tell me, what have postal workers gained, I mean, something concrete, something a rep could take to his members and say, "at long last, our sacrifice was well worth making, for we have won this", and not get lynched?

Time, after time, after time, after making sacrifices through striking, we end up giving up a hell of a lot, for something that only in a short space of time, looks like sweet FA.

Simple question so here's a simple answer. Because the deal they are backing to the hilt after MONTHS of negotiations from a SOLID worker backing is totally appalling and will give RM carte blanche to drive posties into the ground. If that's the best the CWU can do they can FO and I'll be keeping MY money to make up for the PAY CUTS they have made us take.

I think you have your answer, Phantomshare.... Surprised you haven't come back to this thread to expand upon your position!

I'll just reiterate what I've said in other threads - I can understand those of you who are so disillusioned that you want to save your £3 a week, but beg you to understand that the only way forward is to stay in the union, campaign for a massive NO vote, and get shot of Billy, Dave et al at the earliest opportunity!

We won't be better off without the union... but would certainly be better off with one that reflected the aspirations of its members.
