Does the CWU deserve our money now?

Having read the whole "deal" i can honestly say i've never felt so betrayed, how could my own union come up with this.
I then realise i'm also paying for this shafting,after 24 years of paying for fat cats to get fatter, i'll no longer be supporting
their waistlines with my £3.01.
I always thought divide and conquer was a management tactic.
Seeing the union money on my wage slip on Friday made me very angry, so it will be a "NO" vote from me and a swift removal
of my cash.
Seeing as i'm used to paying my £3.01 i think i'll donate it to the Scottish Staffie Rescue,that way i'll be sure it's feeding a stomach
that really needs feeding.
So my own answer would be no especially if you're working in delivery.
Anybody with any reasons why i shouldn't ,fire away,but they better be good 'cause i'm fuming

I am also thinking of calling it a day with the CWU if this deal gets the yes vote. After 10 years and loosing around 5 weeks pay over the course of those 10 years through various strike action. I see this deal as one big let down, after they called us out before Xmas we had RM on the ropes to go back to work and end up with this deal is not good! We were also striking about the pensions, this is not even mentioned in the deal!!

2) stay with the union vote a massive "NO" to this agreement and vote the current cretins "billy + dave off and the pec for reccomending it!>


why do we have people deciding our choice who have never or very rarely done a walk.....if billy& dave did a walk they would see things from our point of view

A lot of people on this site feel let down by the union over this deal, in my opinion justifiably so, but leaving the union en masse is not going to help the situation. Royal Mail without a strong union would give the management free reign to cut wages, jobs, bully and harass on a larger scale, health and safety would go out the window. Who would you go to for advice with no reps and who would fight your corner over grievances? I could go on.
If you believe that a change in leadership is needed then vote them out. Get people in who wouldn't accept a deal like this and who are not out of touch with the men and women on the shop floor. This is a democratic institution after all and we all have a vote. Use it.
Let's remember that ordinary people sacrificed so much, sometimes there lives, so that future generations could be members of trade unions and get fair representation and justice in their workplace. Please think carefully before you give this away.

billy done a walk bout 10 yrs ago in cdo 1-3 in liverpool it took him all of 1.5 hrs he couldnt do it now

After reading the ''agreement'' from start to end at 0430 this morning ... cant sleep lately my knee jerk reaction was just the same as everyone elses.... take my money and go but.... having had a few more cups of coffee decided that standing and fighting for what is right and just would be the better way. True people have fought and died for our Trade Unions to move forward. The Union leaders work for us not the other way round its about time they remembered that

had enough myself !! after being involved in this union for a lot of years,i have finally given up any hope.only reason most of the staff in my office is still in it is because of the fear of losing there jobs through the constant bullying and harassment.suprise suprise that no mention of the bullying stopping in the agreement.make sense for them to ignore it.as the longer it goes on .the longer they can keep those members who are constantly being singled out and broken one by one.our reps are in bosses pocket,staff no longer trust them and dont go near them.3.01 a week .il be taking it back and fighting my own cause .not because i particulary want to ,but because i have no other choice .ive heard the arguement stay and get youre vote,which is fair enough but can you really see a no vote with the whole thing only centered arround shafting delivery staff again.wake up to yourselves .the fight is over. we lost it before christmas.thank you union for listening to what we delivery staff wanted.NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
