The Indoor and Outdoor Tools are still subject to further discussion. Much new stuff has been brought into the equation, e.g. D2D into workload, use of HCTs, CDVs, pre-walk sequencing duties, post-walk sequencing deliveries.

The life and work of Office Reps will bring much pressure onto them, so the promised 'help' had better be in place when needed.

I am with Postmanon this.

I/We went on strike for a fair acheivable workload.

Leaving the financial implications out of this deal,to my way of thinking with Park and loop together with this new deal we could or will be delivering
the following every day including Saturdays.

At least 1 or more D2D to every house(except the small number of opt outs,if any)
Oversize packets,
Oversize specials,
Everything else.

In my office mail volume signs are increasing not decreasing so as busy as everbeen just on the mail side,then the explosion of packets and increasding number of specials and recoreded and now tracked items.

The duty srtucture Offficialy has to allow traveliing time,and replenishment.
Also ,I beleive you will brake your delivery into 2 and go back to the office for a brake and replenishment,given the small capacity of these new vans .

This is quite a task.For this to be acheivable ,by doing the job the corrrect way and without running around like a headless chicken,The call rate sholud be a 100% meaning the walks cannot get any bigger,(Posibly even smaller )especialy with the growth in home Shopping = packets.

But I cant see RM leaving the walks as they are,and dingo says something that D2D to every house =callrate about 88% I think.

Think the official answer like everything is its down to local agreement.
Before you can judge this agreement we should be told the full info so you can make a balanced desicion.

Unlikely to happen else it would be in the agreement somewhere.
But we will now have a delivery enabler,wich should make all the difference,and can magic the work load into a manageble amounts,I AM SO GLAD THE CWU FOUND A DELIVERY ENABLER,AFTER ALL THIS TIME!.

as ever the devil will be in the detail, the question for me is will we see the detail before we vote i.e. time given for attendence times,walk speed,toilet breaks,human contact etc......

We were told to achieve this staff working the saturday would have to do say a walk and 1/6th to cover the extra staff having saturday off. Makes sense i suppose as we will be working a full day on the saturday if we vote yes.

They appear to have removed the 3.5 hour limit on delivery spans (with the implication that they will be shorter).

Being a pessimist this probably means they just won't bother listening if you complain your walk is too large because there will no longer be such a thing as too large.

Could you please be a lot clearer on the above,ie: what is the walking speed the CWU have negotiated etc? If there has been no set walking speed etc and its down to local agreement then its hot air and therefore a NO vote is required until the union get an amendment that sorts out this important aspect of workloads-there is only one way of walking and it dosnt vary from area to bloody area.

As asked many times on here,with the timed D2D's are we now going to go to 100% call rate.
Timed D2D's could be a big winner for RM,they will no doubt push this very hard,it could very attractive to businesses.
But there is no good my walk being 80 summin % when i will HAVE to call at 100% at times!
